Before You Reach Out

Researched from how people actually search for and evaluate fractional CMOs, GTM consultants, and board advisors, not invented from scratch. Picked and answered for Gaurav's specific multi-service mix.

An agency executes a scope you define. I define the scope, own the number it's supposed to produce, and adjust the plan when the data says to. An agency's incentive is to keep the retainer; mine is to make myself unnecessary as fast as possible.
Fractional leadership means I sit inside your business and own an ongoing number: budget, team, results. Consulting means a specific, fixed-scope problem with a defined end date. Advisory means a regular, recurring meeting rhythm with a narrow, high-leverage mandate, not day-to-day execution. Most people asking this are trying to figure out which one they actually need. Happy to help you work that out on a call before you commit to any of them.
The first 90 days are for building the plan and the baseline: what's actually being tracked today, what's broken in that tracking, and what a realistic target looks like given the budget. I'd be wary of anyone promising a specific revenue number before they've seen your numbers. What I commit to instead is a clear, agreed measure of success before real work starts, and a straight answer if something isn't working by month three.
Depends on the engagement. Fractional leadership usually means I'm building or directing the team, including hiring where there's a gap. Consulting and advisory engagements typically work alongside whoever you already have. If I think there's a gap that needs filling, I'll say so, always in the best interest of the business, not mine. Once I'm onboard, I meet the existing team in person and do a brief assessment to spot any gaps. Working alongside a strong in-house team suits me fine. It's less I need to build from scratch.
It depends on the service and scope: a fixed-fee consulting project, a monthly fractional retainer, and a board or advisory fee all work differently. I'd rather understand the actual problem on a call first than quote a number before I know what I'm solving.
No. Every engagement here runs on a retainer or a pre-scoped fee, not equity.
If you need a large in-house execution team managed day to day across many channels at once, a full-time hire or an agency retainer probably serves you better than a fractional or consulting engagement. I'd rather tell you that upfront than take on work that isn't the right shape.
A short call first, to understand the actual problem, which of the services fits it, and whether it's a fit at all before either of us commits further.
